My Story
I’ve had an interest in photography since I was a kid. From the green disposable cameras of my childhood, to a silver, clunky point & shoot in middle school, photography has been there. But it was always a hobby I loved to do in my spare time…
It wasn’t until the end of college, talking with my boyfriend (now husband), about this old joy I’d had, that he suggested I pick it up again. Just for fun! I was bashful at the time, thinking I wasn’t any good and I should probably put my extra time into getting a “real job”. But he, thankfully, ignored my sheepishness and surprised me with my first ‘real’ camera as a college graduation gift. Little did either of us know — it would change our lives.
Fast forward 6 years since that gift, 5 years since I started Sarah Faith Photography, some expensive photography equipment, a whole lot of long nights later — and I’m a full time, traveling portrait & wedding photographer!
Photography has transitioned from this little love I nurtured in the background — to the centerpiece of my life.
The artistic aspects of it fuel my creative soul, befriending new people fills my social battery, and the nerdy part of me flourishes getting to run my own business.
I was made for this profession.
